A stranger can message people who trust you—and make it look like you sent it.
Clients, private conversations and new opportunities can suddenly be out of reach.
Getting help can mean chasing support while your work and conversations wait.
How it works
You shouldn’t have to spend weeks wondering who is working on your account, or what happens if you never get it back.
You never hand over a password. You authorize our monitoring through the platform itself, and you can switch it off whenever you want.
We watch connected accounts for takeover signals. If we detect a problem—or you report one—we ask you to confirm lost access and start the recovery process.
We work on recovery. If an eligible takeover remains unrecovered, Cysurance owes the cash benefit at the day-seven and day-twenty-one milestones. We prepare and submit the incident record.
The recovery timeline
Cysurance owes you $5,000. We keep working the recovery.
Another $20,000 becomes payable. $25,000 in total.
Recovered after day 7? You keep the first $5,000. It isn’t an advance.
Both windows run from the Incident Time defined in your agreement. We prepare and submit the incident record and may ask you for missing information. Payment follows the submission process in section 7 of the member agreement.

X, Threads, Snapchat, Pinterest, Twitch, Reddit, Discord, Substack, Patreon, Ko-fi, Buy Me a Coffee, Gumroad, Etsy and Shopify are on the roadmap. Founding members get access to new platforms before general release.
Recovery is faster when the account is already connected and the case can open the same day.

Why Sociable
In October 2022, someone close to James lost a social account and never got it back. Finding help was difficult. Finding a product that owed them something if recovery failed was harder.
After seventeen years in insurance and building three agencies, James spent the next four years working to bring that product into existence. Sociable is the result.

Cysurance owes and pays the cash benefit. The warranty is backed by Cysurance insurance programs and fully reinsured, so the money is there before you need it. Sociable monitors your connected accounts, works on recovery and prepares the incident record. TransUnion and CyberScout handle remediation, chase money that was taken, and restore your identity. You reach them through your console or at 800-721-6235 and a person answers. Most situations are resolved before a payment is ever needed. For an eligible takeover that remains unrecovered, the first $5,000 is determined after the seven-day window, with another $20,000 after the twenty-one-day window. Payment follows the incident submission and eligibility process.
No. Sociable is a warranty and service agreement, not an insurance policy, and you are not an insured. Sociable handles monitoring and recovery. Cysurance is the obligor, meaning it owes and pays the cash Remedy. The included identity protection has its own benefit terms.
Existing products vary, so check their terms for social-account recovery and unrecovered takeovers. Sociable brings together monitoring of supported accounts, hands-on recovery and a defined cash benefit owed by Cysurance when an eligible takeover remains unrecovered. The included identity protection has separate benefit terms.
Confirm that you’ve lost access through the Sociable incident flow. We assemble the record from monitoring data and manage the submission to Cysurance. If information is missing, we’ll ask you for it. That can affect payment timing. You do not need to calculate your account’s value or document a financial loss to set the fixed payment amount.
That is part of the takeover, not a gap in it. A connection the attacker cuts does not pause your eligibility, and losing the connection is one of the signals that opens the recovery case. The pause only applies when you disconnect an account yourself and leave it disconnected.
Suspensions, bans, restrictions, demonetization and other platform decisions are excluded. The cash Remedy applies to eligible, verified unauthorized takeovers, not every reason an account becomes inaccessible.
The member agreement says your named Cysurance warranty and coverage schedule are emailed at enrollment into the protection program and available in your console. Protection is scheduled to activate November 1, 2026. The warranty form is part of your agreement.
An incident that began before enrollment or the protection start date is not eligible for payment. You can still tell us what happened. The story form is for sharing your experience and is not an active emergency recovery service.
